Compact user-friendly electric valve direct drive


Introduction of INCOE's new electric valve gate cylinder in the fall

Rödermark, April 2020 - An electric valve gate cylinder, which moves the valve pin directly, and in so doing sits on the manifold, is as compact and easy to maintain as conventional hydraulic cylinders, which would represent combining the best of both worlds. Is it possible to design such an actuator? "Yes, it is" answers Christian Striegel – General Manager and Head of Development at INCOE International Europe, "that's precisely our new product! Our objective is to present this product at Fakuma - which will hopefully take place this autumn: The electric direct drive for valve gate systems is just as compact as a hydraulic cylinder, but offers all the benefits of the electric drive."

The core component will be a compact electric drive unit for which INCOE has developed a special temperature-controlled adapter unit that makes it possible to operate the cylinder on the manifold. The proven method of adjusting, assembling, and also disassembling the valve pin from the rear without dismantling the cylinder will also be retained, as will the possibility of dismantling the cylinder housing without excessive lateral movements. In addition to a high level of user-friendliness, the design concept here is primarily aimed at saving installation space in the mold. It is planned to present the electric direct drive for valve gate systems for the first time at Fakuma 2020.
