Groundbreaking for INCOE's New Global Headquarters

On November 01, 2017, INCOE Corporation USA officially broke ground with a ceremony held at the site of their future 135,000 ft² (12,500 m²)Global Headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan.

The ceremony began with Master of Ceremonies Dan Hunter, Deputy Director of Oakland County Economic Development and Community Affairs, saying, “It is my great pleasure to represent Brooks Patterson and the Oakland County team today to congratulate INCOE Corporation for this incredibly momentous event.”

INCOE was represented by Chairman Sharon Seres and 3rd generation family ownership; Eric J. Seres Jr., Courtney Seres and Tristan Seres, and INCOE’s Build Team. Other attendees included representatives from partners involved with the project; General Development Company (GDC), the developer for the building and site; Ghafari Associates, INCOE’s project consultant; the City of Auburn Hills and Oakland County.

Speaking next was Auburn Hills City Council Member Henry V. Knight. “We really thank you for coming and choosing this community.” He added, “We are very fortunate in Michigan, Southeast Michigan, Oakland County, and Auburn Hills to have you here.”

As the first beams of structural steel began to be erected during the ceremony, GDC Partner Bruce Brickman smiled and commented “That’s pretty good timing for that first column!” He went on to describe the scope of the project and working with INCOE and “how fast and smooth we were able to put together a project.” He concluded by telling INCOE “We can’t wait to finish it for you.”

The new state-of-the-art facility combines and expands on INCOE’s three facilities in the Metro Detroit area and is designed to improve operational efficiency within the organization by situating dependent processes in closer proximity to one another. Within the office area, open collaboration spaces along high traffic pathways are designed to provide casual meeting spaces. The 85,000 ft² (7,900 m²) manufacturing area was designed around a central space containing Quality Control, Inventory and shop offices to maximize process flow.

The ceremony continued with Eric J. Seres Jr., CEO and President of INCOE calling the groundbreaking “an event to celebrate” adding “in a couple months, we’ll be celebrating 60 years, which is huge”. He highlighted the growth driven expansion projects worldwide for INCOE in the last 5 years, including expansion in China in 2013 and the new European Headquarters constructed in Germany in 2014.

Eric then recognized INCOE’s employees for their contribution to the event. “Our philosophy from the beginning has been about hiring good people, treating them well, creating an environment that’s safe and stable, and giving them the tools they need to do their job and let them do what they do best. So, our employees really have made this happen. We wouldn’t be here right now if it wasn’t for them.”

The ceremony concluded with Courtney Seres, VP Corporate Administration, presenting the memorial stone, a gift from Bruce Brickman, dedicating the facility to Rick Seres, the father of the 3rd generation ownership and INCOE’s previous CEO. In presenting the stone, Courtney remembered Rick Seres as a “man of integrity, hard work, kindness and service.” Courtney next spoke of Rick’s commitment to customer service, how he lived and embraced it, and how it continues to “permeate the organization.”

Maintaining this focus on customer service, part of the facility space was reserved and designed as a customer-centric educational center, including a 2,400 ft² (220 m²) state-of-the-art molding laboratory.

The new facility is expected to be completed by the summer of 2018.
